We had so much fun collaborating with our good friends at EA to create the end tag and assets for social, digital and print to announce their upcoming reimagining of the horror classic Deadspace. Our guiding principle through this project was to stay true to the legacy of the game by rewarding fans through subtle nods while creating something with a simple cinematic aesthetic. We wanted to ekove the feeling of isolation and a sense of being alone in the outer banks of deep space. The single point lighting we are familiar with space photography was the driving force that ties all our elements together in a photoreal and natural way. It is also the catalyst for the unfolding of the reveal, slowly lighting the planet, the asteroid belt, the mines, the ship and finally the logo.

Although taking up the smallest amount of screen real estate, the Ishimura is the star of the show. Its flashing beacon helps illuminate it at the top of the shot and draw the eye to it instantly. To keep the eye firmly there we flashed cryptic messages in morse code, teasing some closely guarded information about the upcoming release.
